Yesterday was a memorable day. We coincidentally were in Chicago on Sunday June 21st–Father’s Day, but also Go Skateboarding Day. I headed out to Grant Park with my board and camera. You remember when Obama won the presidency, and he gave that speech that night? Yeah, that Grant Park. The skate park in Grant Park isn’t much, but these kids sure do know how to make the most of it. Throughout the day there must have been over 200 skaters who came through the park. Average age, probably around 17. It was an excellent afternoon. Thanks to all the shredders who gave me content for our website, and for providing me with a really fun afternoon on Go Skateboarding Day 2009.
Music is “Via Chicago” by Wilco. I mean, did I really have a choice with this one?
